Outdoor Destinations

Outdoor Destinations schedules activities which range anywhere from hiking (with hiking being our most popular event) to cycling to outdoor sports. It could pertain to anything as long as it is outdoor related.

The purpose of this group is to bring like-minded people together from Delaware, Maryland, Eastern Shore and surrounding areas who want to form new friendships, experience new things and explore new places.

Hiker Babes

Hiker Babes is a national nonprofit with the mission of getting women together and outdoors. Maryland has its own chapter and one of the chapter ambassadors is based on Maryland's lower shore. Learn more about the national nonprofit here.

Eastern Shore Running Club

Looking to start running or find running friends? The Eastern Shore Running Club, based in Salisbury, welcomes road and trail runners of all paces and hosts six group runs each week. ESRC was founded to promote and advocate for the running community on Maryland’s Lower Eastern Shore, and the club awards scholarships to two local high school senior runners annually. ESRC is an affiliate member of the Road Runners Club of America. Through the RRCA, it is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

New Hope Canoe Club

Aloha E Komo Mai - (Welcome) to New Hope Outrigger Canoe Club Ministry Team Atlantic. This is the sister club to New Hope Oahu (Hawai'i) Church's canoe ministry that was founded in 2000. These traditional Hawaiian Canoe Clubs have been structured as faith based canoe clubs but you need not be Christian to join. It is a no pressure environment, and if you are Christian there will be ministry time in and out of the canoe.

Chesapeake Paddlers Association

The Chesapeake Paddlers Association, Inc. is an all-volunteer 501(c)4 non-profit organization consisting of about 700 members. All activities that we run are free or run at near cost. We have no paid members or officers.

We offer weekly weekday meetings in at least ten different areas around the Chesapeake Bay and Potomac River, and organize trips and training sessions nearly every weekend during the warm weather season. These trips range from day trips, weekend car campers, multiday kayak camping trips, to week long trips in far off locations. Most of these trips are free, although there may be costs for launch or park fees.

Kayakers of the Eastern Shore

This is a low-key facebook group where members frequently share destinations and form group outings.
